Sarankot

Official visit now and then keeps mind healthy. Sweet!

After the bill verification visit of Lower Modi Hydropower Project at Parwat near Kusma, we returned to Pokhara and stayed there on Jan 07,2011. The next day we visited Sarankot. This was fist time for me at Sarankot. Sarankot is famous among tourist for its panoramic view of pokhara and Para-Gliding.

We can view Annapurna range of Himalayas from here. A glimpse of Dhawalagiri at the southern end is also seen. See the hacked map of himals!

There is a small Shiva temple at the hill of sarankot. For tourist there are plenty of lodges and hotels to stay. A local bus also is available to reach this place.

A Day out!@ Chisapani

180 degrees filled with Mountain from elevation of 2200m.

As planned by kishor uncle, on 18th december we were to reach upto Sundarijal, have some fun and return back. But the plan changed when we reached Sundarijal, the journey extended to Chisapani. Before planning Sundarijal, We had planned to go to Tatopani the same same day, which was cancelled. But by chance we reached the opposite place, Chisapani.

Journey in motor bike was Adventerious! The road is in steep terrain. Half of the road is uphill jouney. With the glimpse of sliver mountains on the way, it was fun. Two other guys were forced to come with us with there newly purchased bike :).

Chisapani lies on the way to Langtang trekking route. The journey is about 25Km from Sundarijal. It took about two and half hour to reach Chisapani. Chisapani lies at an elevation of about 2200m above sea level. There are few hotels and logdes. It seemed a perfect place to view mountains. A peaceful place to spent time. There is also an army barrake. A camp of Maiti Nepal had also been established there.

I rotated my head from one side to another, still the mountains on the horizon was not coverd in my view. Woderful experience!
